Relocation Information
Moving in, Moving out, getting your new home set up or your old home closed down, either way it does take time and good planning. To make this process as smooth as possible I gathered some useful information, addresses and phone numbers:
Driver’s License:
Incoming new residents to Florida must obtain a Florida drivers license within 30 days of gaining employment, establishing residency, claiming a homestead exemption, registering to vote or registering a child in public school.
New residents, who have a valid out-of-state license will be required to take a vision examination and provide proof of US citizenship by providing a certified copy of their birth certificate. In 2001 the state of Florida enacted driving restrictions to drivers under the age of 18. You will need to bring the registrations for all vehicles you own, your valid drivers license from out-of-state, and one other legal document with your date of birth.
