This is the only facility in the world dedicated to the story of America's first space heroes - the Mercury and Gemini astronauts. Here you relive the excitement of America's first steps in space by enjoying the historic artifacts, personal memenots and rare video footage. Guests may experience the thrill of Astronaut AdventureTM by climbing aboard a full-scale Space Shuttle Orbiter mock-up for a multi-media trip into the future. You can also land the space shuttle Columbia and float in the virutal reality world of weightlessness as you 'repair' the Skylab. The Astronaut Hall of Fame is also the home of U.S. Space Camp® Florida, a residential space/science camp dedicated to encouraging children (*ages 7-11) to study math and science, using the excitement of the space program to spark their interest.

The only community-built zoo in the country, the Brevard Zoo boasts many unusual features such as onsite kayaking and behind the scenes "Wild Side" Tours.
