Pet Information

Parks - Dogs are not allowed in any parks in Brevard County with the exception of service animals and animals that are authorized for sponsored events.

Public Beaches - With the exception of service animals, dogs are not allowed on public beaches in Brevard County

Municipal Parks - The Satellite Beach Dog Park located at Satellite Beach Sports & Recreation Park next to the library on Jamaica Boulevard is designed for dogs and their owners -- it is open from dawn to dusk. Closed on Monday and Thursday from noon to 3 p.m. for maintenance. This off-leash dog park features 6' fenced area on 1.5 acres next to a natural habitat area, double-gated security entrance area, separate fenced small-dog area, tables and benches under shade trees, memorial brick path, dog-wash and drinking water areas, dog toys, playground equipment, fire hydrants, waste disposal stations, parking and restrooms.

$3 for more than 2 people or more than 3 dogs

Because the options for pet-owners in Brevard County are currently limited to one park only here is an additional dog-park located in Sanford.

The Paw Park of Historic Sanford™ is located in the former "Jaycee Park". This site became a city park in 1886, borders Sanford's historic downtown district, and is well shaded with mature oak trees. Features include a small dog alternative play area, a time-out area, bag dispensers for disposal of dog waste, park benches, dog showers, self-watering bowls, historic lighting, and a community bulletin board (which includes information on dogs available for adoption from area shelters). It is handicapped accessible, and has a double gate entrance for safety. The park is open from 7:30AM to 8:00PM daily.
